No matter what time of year, Plymouth always has a lot to
offer.
If you want to go to the theatre then there’s the Theatre
Royal and the Drum Theatre. See Guys and Dolls, Chicago and much more. At the
Pavillions, see Brian Ferry, Macfly, Russell Watson and many more famous
performers in 2007. Basketball is also a regular event here.
Don’t forget Plymouth Argyle who are still there with
promotion prospects. For those who like a little tougher sport watch Plymouth
Albion entertain some of the best Rugby Union sides in the country. For those of
you that like water sports don’t forget the sailing and the increasingly popular
Scuba diving. There are plenty of local tuition centres for these sports. For
those of you that like the water, but just want to look at it get yourself a
nice seat on the Hoe and enjoy the stunning views.
Be sure to visit the National Marine Aquarium which is home
to Europe's deepest tank and full of sea life throughout the Aquarium. When the
sun has gone in and the rain clouds form go and see the latest films at one of
two cinemas, or alternatively visit the new Drakes Circus shopping centre. From
Plymouth town centre you can take a twenty-minute walk and catch the Cremyl
ferry across to Mount Edgecumbe Country Park. These beautiful gardens and
Country House are open to the general public. The house is only open during the
summer months, but there’s still plenty of countryside to explore.
When you’ve worn yourself out pick one of our numerous fine
restaurants and treat yourself to some
mouth watering dishes. Top it all off with a visit to some of the fine character
pubs around the Barbican or the town centre.
What more do you need to have a fabulous time? A relaxing friendly place to
stay. Be sure to take a look at our range of Association
Hotels and
Guest Houses.
Enjoy Plymouth.
